    <reviewbody>Never heard a bad version of this song......but my favorite version would have to be Willie Lofton's, which he recorded as "Dark Road Blues" and added a savage fret-tapping riff that sounds literally like he's beating the E string against the frets with his fist. Tommy's is slower and sedate but has a nice menacing undercurrent to it.&#13;

My fave Tommy Johnson song, "Canned Heat Blues", is also available elsewhere on archive.org.&#13;
